How to send files over 2GB
2GB is where most free file-sharing tools stop. Here's what iShared.app's plans actually support above that line, and how to pick the right one.
2GB has become an informal ceiling across a lot of free file-sharing tools - it's roughly where a lot of competitors' free tiers cap out. If what you're sending is bigger than that, you need to know which plan actually covers it before you start uploading, rather than finding out partway through.
What each plan supports above 2GB
- Free - 10MB per transfer. Not built for this - it's meant for quick, small sends without needing an account.
- Personal - 3GB per transfer, for £3/month. Comfortably past the 2GB line for most single files.
- Team - 10GB per transfer, for £5/seat/month, with licensed seats and download tracking for a small group.
- Enterprise - 100GB per transfer, for £8/seat/month, with unlimited seats, SSO/SCIM, and a custom domain.

Why the limit is per-transfer, not a monthly quota
Some tools cap total usage per month rather than per send - hit the ceiling early in the month and everything after that is blocked until it resets. iShared.app's limit applies per transfer instead: send a 9GB folder on a Team plan today and another 9GB one five minutes later, both go through, with no separate monthly allowance to track.
Getting a large transfer there reliably
Bigger files take longer to upload, which mostly comes down to your own connection - there's no additional throttling applied on our side. If a transfer is large enough that you're routing it through folders and subfolders rather than a single archive, drag the whole folder in as-is; see sending whole folders for how the structure is preserved.
Choosing between Personal, Team, and Enterprise
If it's just you, Personal is the simplest fit. If you're routinely sending things as a small group and want to see who downloaded what, Team adds seats and tracking. If you need more than 15 people, single sign-on, or a custom domain, that's Enterprise. See the full comparison on pricing.
